The wastewater treatment plant was introduced into the landscape and designed in order to establish a link which would enable a direct connexion between the surrounding farming weft and the industrial sites close to the plant.

Eco-building targets :

Target 1 : harmonious relationship between the building and its surroundings. Use of natural materials, solid wood.

Target 3 : Low pollution building site.

Eco-management targets :

Target 4 : Energy control. Bioclimatic building made out of solid wood, ground-coupled heat exchangers, thermal solar sensors.

Target 5 : Water control. Buffering rainwaters green roof, rainwater storage and reuse for the toilets. Run-off rainwater collection on waterproof areas and gravity transport system to a damp green area.

Target 6 : Activity dust control.

Target 7 : Care and maintenance.

Comfort targets :

Target 8 : Hygrothermal comfort. Isolating green roof.

Target 11 : Olfactory comfort. Control of the fouled air coming out of the wastewater treatment plant by vegetables (green filter).

Target 10 : Visual comfort. Landscaping of the surroundings by management of the biodiversity thanks to a selection of vegetables introduced in the site.
