Treated HQE® targets :

Target 1: Harmonious relation of the buildings with their immediate environment

  • Implementation: separation of influx transit and displacement, securing personnel movement, pedestrian and bikes lane

  • Homogeneity in treating the front of projected buildings by using biodegradable materials

Target 2: Integrated choices for construction process

  • Choice of construction in terms of durability, adaptability and easy maintenance: dismantling, possibility to extend, choice of easy to maintain and easy to access materials for maintenance purposes.

  • Materials: laminated wood frame, larch wood cladding, and metal cladding and gabion facing.

Target 4: Energy control

  • Facing North-South to benefit from the climate, by using available solar energy in lighting and/or heating.

  • Summer/winter comfort: comfort in the winter due to the thermal inertia of the used materials. In the summer the shaded structure is an integral part of the building with the roof acting as a canopy.

Target 5: Water management

  • Treating roof rain water.

  • Treating streaming water via a green ditch. On the waterproof surface of the road, water is collected by gravity laws towards a ditch that runs along the South fence. Aquatic plants will be added to this ditch
