RESTORATION OF THE MONTSOURIS RESERVOIR (75014) – CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS FOR EAU DE PARIS

The restoration works of the pavilions and the walkway of the Montsouris reservoir are ongoing, progressively revealing the full heritage richness of the site.

Several significant developments have recently marked this phase of the works:

  • The discovery of original veined marble flooring in the West pavilion, highlighting the initial architectural quality of the structure;
  • The ongoing installation of the joinery in the West pavilion, accompanied by work to restore the original colours, validated by AR ARCHITECTES in order to ensure heritage fidelity;
  • The continuation of masonry restoration works, including the removal of cement joints in the rubble stone base and smooth stone elements, replaced with lime-based joints, for which an off-white tone with a cool hue has been selected;
  • The validation of a pearl white tone for the lime joints of the exterior faience façades (glazed bricks and brick friezes), contributing to the enhancement of the existing architectural details.

These interventions are part of an overall restoration approach that respects the architectural identity of the site, combining heritage requirements with technical expertise.
